…are here! My latest comic was the first to be posted in color immediately whereas the rest were left black and white and boring. This has now been fixed though, and all are in fabulous red and green and blue and whatnot! This is great news for all my fans. Some less satisfying news were also revealed to me while updating though… Apparently, updating a photo post with a new picture replacement is just fine, but a repost of a photo post will not have its picture automatically updated, nor can one replace it manually. This means that the reposts of my comics at my other Tumblr still displays the old black and white versions. There’s seemingly nothing I can do to fix this other than post a photo set post over there containing all the new splendid color versions.
Oh well, it works but I’m not thrilled about it. Yet another reason to try to hurry getting my WordPress blog up to get a less constrained platform to work with. Not that I’m complaining about Tumblr! It’s without a doubt the best free blogging platform I’ve encountered (including WordPress.com).
Well I’ve babbled for long enough, I’ll finish now. Tomorrow you will see a brand new comic up, and I will start uploading some more old scanned artwork at the other Tumblr very soon (yes I’m aware I have promised this several times before, but I really will try to get my act together and just do it sometime tomorrow). Thank you very much for the kind words! By the way, I just posted a comic, something which I intend to keep doing three times a week form now on. I’ll post them all to the LEHOism blog, but I started a new one especially for comics, in case people want to follow only the comics and nothing else. It turns out...
…that I’m really bad at keeping my promises. I swore (well almost anyway) that I’d start scanning some more old drawings right away a few days ago, and nothing has come of it so far. Sure, I can blame working obsessively on my newest ink drawing (which felt like it was about to kill me at the end). A drawing which I finally submitted after having lots of troubles with the scanning process (you see, the paper turned out to big just a tiny bit bigger than an A4 which forced me to scan it from all four different corners and piece it together very carefully on my computer). Then, when I thought I had finally finished that piece and could at last head over to new challenges, I had the idea that I’d color it, something which I foolishly thought would take only a little while, but which turned out to take many hours yesterday and a few extra this morning.
In any case, that drawing has finally been posted in both its black-and-white and colored versions. I could easily have scanned some other drawings while taking one of my many breaks from working on that, so I can’t really say I have any good excuses for not posting more material. Anyhow, it’s not like I have lots of readers here to apologize to so I guess I’m mostly trying to tell myself I have a good reason for not doing what I set out to do. At the moment, it’s late (explaining why I’m too tired to be as witty and eloquent as usual) and I’ll just leave you with this message. Tomorrow I will upload some more old sketches and some photos of the clay sculptures I’ve made. Stay tuned!
Not much activity as of late...
…not that I have many followers yet anyway, but I thought I’d drop a line nonetheless, if not for any other reason, then at least to insert the odd bit of text between the drawings. I am working on a new ink drawing that will be posted when it’s done (probably tonight), a drawing which has taken up between one and a few hours every day since I started working on it last Friday (or was is Saturday?). In any case, this is no excuse for the lack of updates seeing as how I have piles of old drawings to scan and upload. In fact, I’ll start scanning some of those right now and immediately start adding to the archive of weird art and artful weirdness! Expect a completely new drawing (probably the most advanced yet) soon…
By the way, I’ve started using my deviantART account quite actively after letting it just sit there, empty and lonely, since I registered it approximately a year ago. Check it out if you want to see the same drawings as you see here, minus my ramblings but with more commentary (so far) from other people and the added possibility of purchasing print outs of all the exuberant creations you have all (yes all ten of you) come to know and love!
